the local club in Killorglin, is a four day International Cycle Race and is based in
Killorglin, Co. Kerry.
This year an exciting

main sponsor of the race. The 2009 race is suitably named Kerry Group Rás Mumhan.
Speaking about the announcement, Mícheal Concannon,

association with the event is a huge boost to everyone involved and their generous support
will greatly improve the profile of the race.
Kerry Group Rás Mumhan will be held over 4

stage will start and finish in Waterville, which is situated approximately 50km south of
Killorglin. The full details of the stages will be released shortly on the Killorglin
cycling club website at www.killorglincycling.com.
Frank Hayes, Director of Corporate Affairs, Kerry Group commented: Kerry Group is
very pleased to be lending its support to such a high calibre race which attracts top
quality cyclists from both the international and national arena. The challenging landscape
of the south west of Ireland is appropriately matched to this premier cycling event and it
offers a unique opportunity to watch elite riders compete in this picturesque part of
Ireland.

1950s and for the last 10 years has been held in Killorglin. The race has proved itself to
be a top quality race and for 2009 quality teams from Britain, Holland, France, Turkey and
